Some weddings feel like they’re pulled straight from the pages of a storytale and Louise and Matthew’s day was just that, but with a wonderfully laid-back vibe.

The wedding took place on a beautifully warm summer’s day, full of golden light, relaxed laughter, and countryside charm. The ceremony was held at St Swithin’s Church in Lower Quinton, tucked into the edge of the North Cotswolds. Louise arrived looking effortlessly elegant, and as she walked down the aisle, she looked abolutely stunning.

After the ceremony, the guests gathered outside for hugs, confetti, and a few relaxed group shots before heading off to the reception venue in a beautiful vintage bus.

Cider Mill Barns near Stratford-upon-Avon was the perfect setting for the rest of the day. This rustic yet modern barn venue offers a wonderful blend of charm and comfort, with views across the fields and plenty of open space to enjoy the warm afternoon. There were no rigid timelines, no pressure, and no overdone formalities. Just good food, great company, and plenty of time to soak in the day.

The relaxed atmosphere meant I could capture so many genuine moments including young children enjoying the games (including lots of slot car racing!), old friends catching up over drinks, and the couple slipping away for a quiet stroll together as the sun began to set.

I took a few portraits around the grounds in that perfect evening light, but true to the tone of the day, we kept it natural and low-key. Louise and Matthew were just themselves, easy, happy, and completely in love.

As the evening rolled on, the barn filled with music, laughter, and dancing. There wasn’t a big formal first dance, just everyone slowly making their way onto the floor and letting the evening unfold naturally, just like the rest of the day. The couple danced the rest of the night away to an incredible live band. This was certainly a stunning day to remember!
