ANSWERS

How do we book you for our wedding?

For weddings, a £200.00 deposit is required to make a booking. Once your date has been agreed I will send you a link to an online booking form. Once the form has been completed you will then be invoiced for the deposit and the date will be put on hold for 24 hours. Once a deposit has been received a wedding agreement will be sent to you via email and you will be all booked in. The balance will be due no later than 2 weeks before the wedding day.

What is your availability?
What are your prices?
What packages and services do you offer?

I keep wedding packages simple with digital only or a number of stunning album packages and extras (fewer hours and discounts are sometimes available if a new booking is made within one month of your wedding day or off peak and not Friday to Sunday).  If you require more time, then additional hours can be added to the package price. I offer a fantastic range of contemporary professional Wedding Albums standalone or as part of some of my packages.

Are travel costs included?
What areas do you cover?

Although I am based in Stratford-upon-Avon, I am able to photograph weddings and commercial photography throughout the UK and locally including:

Warwickshire (Warwick, Leamington Spa, Stratford-upon-Avon, Alcester, Rugby, Nuneaton, Coleshill, Atherstone, Southam, Kenilworth and all the surrounding villages), Solihull, Coventry, Birmingham, Oxfordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire the Cotswolds including Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Campden, Chipping Norton, Cirencester, Moreton-in-Marsh, Broadway, Malmesbury and all the surrounding villages and further afield.

Locations more than 50 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon may incur an additional mileage/time charge.

What happens after we pay a deposit?

After a deposit has been paid, a wedding agreement will be sent to you via email. Weddings can be booked a long time in advance, so Clients are always welcome to get in touch for a chat or discuss their plans after making a booking. In all cases, I will make contact a few weeks before to discuss the timings and important aspects of the day.

On the Wedding Day

What are you like on the wedding day?

I am your guest and it is an honour to be able to capture one of your most important days of your life.

I try to strike a good balance between being flexible, patient, and friendly yet at all times work professionally. It’s no secret that people skills are incredibly important when shooting a wedding – coordinating a group of 100+ people is no easy task (but it is quite fun!), and requires a very good understanding of the wedding day, people management and patience.

I am very approachable and flexible. I take my role very seriously and understand it is more than just photography – it’s about playing my part and working with you and your guests to have an amazing, fun and stress-free day.

Do you take traditional wedding photographs such as family group shots?

Group photos nearly always feature in wedding photography as they are an important record of the day. However, I have my own approach to this and try to mix things up a little according to my Client’s needs. Sometimes the traditional family line up will be required – always popular with family members, however photographs of groups of friends sometimes work better at different times of the day and may benefit from not being too formal (unless of course that is what is required). In all cases, I work with my Clients in order to gain a good understanding of what is required.

We like natural shots – do you do take these?

Reportage, or wedding documentary photography is all about capturing those special moments in a candid and non-forced way. A lot of my work comprises of reportage photography as I naturally capture your friends and family on the day.

How long will you stay at the wedding?

A full day generally starts at the Bridal Preparations and lasts until the First Dance which is anything up to 9 to 10 hours. My Premium Album Packages come with additional hours of photography. Additional hours are also available for a small charge.

What if you are ill on the day!

I pride myself on offering an efficient and reliable service. However, as with any conscientious business, I have drawn up contingency plans just in case the worst should happen. In most cases if I were unable to attend an assignment then either the offer of a full refund would be made or an alternative photographer of similar quality could be offered subject to their availability.

After the Wedding…

How do we receive our pictures?

All final images will be supplied either as a digital download or on USB stick. Images will be fully edited and supplied unwatermarked in jpeg format.

What about copyright can we print our own images and share with friends?

Yes of course, for weddings, clients can make their own prints and share their pictures on-line through social media or with friends. In terms of copyright, the only thing wedding clients cannot do is sell the images, as the photographer owns the images. In all cases, the actual images supplied will be free from watermarks i.e. they will not have any words on them such as my logo, however all my work displayed on the internet is displayed watermarked to protect my images (sadly digital theft is common!). Unfortunately, the images cannot be given to other suppliers or used commercially without my permission – this includes suppliers using my images on social media without clearly crediting me. For businesses photography the photos can be used as per the assignment i.e. for marketing purposes, print and social etc.

Can friends and family view and buy my wedding images?

In most cases wedding images will be showcased in a Client Gallery on this website which will have a link to an external site where further images of guests and the wedding can be viewed and purchased.

How long before we see are pictures after the wedding?

The photos will normally be ready within three weeks, but in many cases sooner than this. After your wedding, your images will be backed up and fully edited to ensure you receive the best images possible.

How many wedding images will we receive?

Your chosen package will specify the minimum image quantity. In many cases more images will be supplied, however I will always try to strike the right balance between quality and providing excellent coverage of the day.

About Chris Fossey Photography

What equipment do you carry – do you have backup equipment?

I shoot primarily on professional Nikon full frame digital cameras and lenses in order to obtain the highest quality possible for my clients. I always have back up equipment. Nikon cameras are great as they have dual memory card slots which auto back up as you shoot – very reassuring for my clients and me!

Are you insured?

Yes, I am fully insured with specific business insurance for photography and carry substantial public liability and professional indemnity insurance (evidence available upon request). It is strongly recommended to always hire a photographer who has adequate insurance.

What is your style?
Can we see feedback on your work from previous Clients?
