Capturing Your Wedding Day
A Personal Approach
My photography style is natural, beautiful, and all about capturing those genuine moments as they happen. The love and emotion you see in my photos are real – just like the amazing couples I work with. Every image here comes from actual weddings I’ve had the privilege of photographing in Warwickshire and throughout the Midlands & UK. My work tells a true story of love and joy.

A RELAXED & FRIENDLY APPROACH
CREATIVE FUN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
My goal is to capture the most beautiful love story of all – yours.
I like to photograph weddings candidly and fit around the schedule of the day in an unobtrusive way. There will be guidance along the way and a few moments away from the guests to capture the couple together in a natural and non-contrived way. My main aim is to capture the complete story, the fun and warmth between the couple, their friends and families.
With over ten years experience, I have a relaxed friendly approach in the way I work. I know exactly when and what to capture and importantly how to handle key elements of the day such as the formal group photos.

“OH MY. THE PHOTOS ARE STUNNING!”
“We’re speechless. We really are. It’s wonderful to see the wedding from your perspective too. So many wonderful photos. You have a real talent and we are incredibly happy.”
Getting the balance right
Natural and Relaxed
I like to think what I do is a little different. I love creating beautiful, almost magazine-style photos that would look amazing on your wall. But what’s really important to me is capturing the energy and emotion of your day in a natural, cinematic way.

AUTHENTIC, NATURAL & BEAUTIFUL
Emotion
Incredible Wedding Photography is all about capturing emotion
Henri Cartier-Bresson once talked about capturing ‘the decisive moment,’ and as a wedding photographer, I’ve become pretty good at knowing when that special moment is about to happen. Of course, there are those key moments we all know, like the father seeing his daughter in her dress for the first time or grandparents dancing together. But I’m always on the lookout, waiting for those magic moments to unfold with ninja precision and Jedi powers (Jedi powers only available when the force is strong).

Posing vrs “Scene Setting”
“We hate being in front of the camera”
Yep! Me too.. I know that when many couples get in touch with me they want me to know that they don’t like posing and prefer the natural “stuff”. Who can blame them, I don’t think I would like to be posed either – there are of course some who love posing – and for those that don’t you need someone who you feel comfortable with. Time and time again, the feedback I get consistently mentions how easy people felt whilst being photographed by me.

“WOWZERS. THESE ARE FANTASTIC!”
“There are some amazing photos in there and you’ve captured every one of our guests and every single special moment.”

NATURAL POSING
Capturing the real magic
My portraits always look natural, it’s a simple case of creating a situation and environment for the magic and natural connection between two awesome people to shine through. I will always hunt out that perfect backdrop ready for the the two stars to take centre stage and and let their real emotions flow before the lens. Funnily enough, couples always say how much they enjoyed the portrait sessions and how comfortable they felt with me afterwards.

SKILL & PASSION
Creative use of natural & artificial light
With unpredictable weather in the UK and year round bookings, a successful photographer has to be the master of both natural light and their own source of artificial lighting. Harsh shadows in low sun can either make or break an image and knowing when to shoot and when to hold off can be a difficult decision. Sometimes a venue may pose a number of interesting challenges, in which case understanding off camera flash techniques for example to add spectacular lighting to a first dance can really pay off. I shoot both natural light photography using professional “fast lenses” and use effective bounce flash or off camera lighting when necessary.

A TRUE PROFESSIONAL
Blending in – Staying calm
It’s been said to me so many times (the last time was by a member of staff at Dumbleton Hall) that people have never seen a wedding photographer work so hard. I would hate to produce mediocre work by turning up and not really engaging with the day.

“THE PICTURES ARE AMAZING”
“Thank you so much!!! The pictures are amazing – we couldn’t be more pleased! Thank you for capturing the special moments from our wedding day – we will cherish these photos. Thank you for all of your hard work that day – we really appreciated it.”

The Guest Experience
It’s really important to me
It’s super important to me to get along with your guests—they’re your closest friends and family, and I want them to have an amazing time too. I always make sure to blend in seamlessly, staying out of the way but still capturing all the best moments. I’ve heard plenty of stories about photographers who are either too pushy or too laid-back and can’t stick to the schedule. I try to strike the perfect balance between being friendly and getting things done efficiently, making sure everyone has fun throughout the day. If you check out my reviews, you’ll get a good sense of how I work. Sure, there are always a few moments (like group photos!) that can make even the most experienced photographer sweat, but with a bit of planning, good vibes, and patience, everything runs smoothly, so you can just enjoy your wedding day.
