A Dream Beach Wedding at The Thorpeness Country Club – Capturing Hannah and Toby’s Special Day
Having grown up by the sea but now living in Warwickshire, I’ve always dreamed of photographing a true beach wedding. So, when I was given the incredible opportunity to photograph Hannah and Toby’s wedding at The Thorpeness Country Club, I couldn’t have been more excited. This was a wedding I knew would be nothing short of extraordinary, with its stunning location, a beautiful bride, a handsome groom, and a celebration filled with love and joy. And, of course, it absolutely lived up to every expectation!
The day began with a small and intimate legal ceremony held inside The Thorpeness Country Club, where the couple exchanged vows in front of their closest family and friends. The atmosphere was relaxed and heartfelt, setting the tone for what was to be an unforgettable day. Afterwards, the couple moved outside for their larger ceremony on the hotel’s lawn, overlooking the breathtaking north sea – truly a dramatic setting. The backdrop of the waves and the Suffolk coast created a serene and picturesque scene.
From the intimate moments of the legal ceremony to the grandeur of the outdoor vows, I was able to capture such a beautiful range of emotions – from quiet, tender moments to the joyous celebration that followed. The stunning scenery of Thorpeness, combined with the couple’s love for one another, provided the perfect canvas for some incredible wedding photography.
Hannah and Toby’s wedding at The Thorpeness Country Club was everything I had hoped for and more. It was a truly magical day, and I’m so grateful to have been able to document it. Thorpeness and the surrounding area has no shortage of idyllic spots to capture portraits so we ventured just outside the village for some intimate wedding photography followed by relaxed and fun group photos with the Groomsmen and Bridesmaids on the beach. It was a fantastic opportunity to capture some stunning set piece portraits as well as candid reportage photography.
The couple hired an incredible live band and after the Wedding Breakfast, and along with friends and family, danced the night away with a grand finale of a firework display.
